Plans are well under way for the move of the factory to our freehold land and premises at Aston where presently our Cold Stores Unit is situated. We expect to make an application and obtain building permission by the end of the current year. We want to move from Satley to modern premises in order to consolidate firmer the company’s position as a leader in sausage and saveloy manufacturing. The factory floor will double and this will give us the opportunity to diversify production to other food products. We are also planning to install a packing line which will cater for retail customers such as supermarkets. Finally the centralization of the company’s operations at Aston will give opportunity to the company to take advantage of economies of scale.
